What an awesome story this man can craft. After I read the two-million-selling This Present Darkness, I was hooked on his stuff for life. Peretti writes his tales on two levels, one spiritual, the other earthly--and both based on Biblical principles of spiritual warfare waging on unseen planes between God's warriors and the minions of hell.

It read like an epic adventure complete with ultimate good versus ultimate evil. God's legions of angels fight to protect a small town against a ravaging army of demons while the unkowing residents act as pawns in the stellar conflict.
